French Dictation with Words to Learn
A dictation for French primary pupils: the words to learn, Seyès lines to write on, three grammar questions and the full text for the teacher only.
What is already in this template
- 3 pre-titled sections
- 3 question blocks
- 1 highlighted callouts
- A ruled grid for handwriting
- An answer key
Using and adapting it
In a short paper the order matters more than the count: run easy to hard so a weaker student still gets through the opening. Keep each question in its own block instead of typing a run-on paragraph — then reordering or cutting is a drag, and the answer key follows. If you plan to mark it in class, turn the key on for your copy and export a second version without it to hand out.
Common questions
- How many questions should a short test have?
- For fifteen minutes, five to ten works, run easy to hard so a weaker student gets through the opening. What matters more than the count is that each question is its own block, so reordering or cutting is a drag.
- Can I mark it in class?
- Yes — turn the key on for your copy and export a second version without it to hand out. For multiple choice, the answer sheet prints and marks from a photograph.
- Do I need to know LaTeX to use this template?
- No. You edit it like an ordinary document — type, drag blocks, insert formulas from a visual keyboard. LaTeX only runs underneath to set the page, and you can still export the source if you want it.
