Using and adapting it

In a long document, let the system own the numbering and the contents page: never type section numbers by hand, because inserting one in the middle throws off everything after it. Add citations as you write rather than at the end — finding a source again two weeks later costs far more time. Tables and figures stay whole across page breaks, so there is no manual nudging before you hand it in.

Common questions

Does the contents page update itself?
Yes, along with the section numbering. Never type section numbers by hand — inserting one in the middle throws off everything after it.
When should I add citations?
As you write, not at the end. Finding a source again two weeks later costs many times what noting it immediately does.
Do I need to know LaTeX to use this template?
No. You edit it like an ordinary document — type, drag blocks, insert formulas from a visual keyboard. LaTeX only runs underneath to set the page, and you can still export the source if you want it.
