Teaching Initiative Report (Vietnam)
The initiative report submitted for a teaching award: cover page, contents, the problem, the solutions, before-and-after results, and references.
What is already in this template
- A ready-made cover page
- A table of contents that updates itself
- 10 pre-titled sections
- 2 tables
- A ready-made diagram you edit as text
- About 2 pages long
Using and adapting it
In a long document, let the system own the numbering and the contents page: never type section numbers by hand, because inserting one in the middle throws off everything after it. Add citations as you write rather than at the end — finding a source again two weeks later costs far more time. Tables and figures stay whole across page breaks, so there is no manual nudging before you hand it in.
Common questions
- Does the contents page update itself?
- Yes, along with the section numbering. Never type section numbers by hand — inserting one in the middle throws off everything after it.
- When should I add citations?
- As you write, not at the end. Finding a source again two weeks later costs many times what noting it immediately does.
- Do I need to know LaTeX to use this template?
- No. You edit it like an ordinary document — type, drag blocks, insert formulas from a visual keyboard. LaTeX only runs underneath to set the page, and you can still export the source if you want it.
