Using and adapting it

A recruiter skims a CV in a few dozen seconds, so put the strongest thing in the top half of the first page. Write experience as things you did with a measurable result, not as a list of duties. If you are applying through an automated portal, use the minimal single-column version: multi-column layouts look good to a person but screening systems often read them out of order, and you are filtered out before anyone sees it.

Common questions

Do multi-column CVs pass automated screening?
Often they are read out of order. For an automated portal, use the minimal single-column version — multi-column looks good to a person, but you can be filtered out before anyone sees it.
How should I write the experience section?
As things you did with a measurable result, not a list of duties. And put the strongest item in the top half of page one — a recruiter skims in a few dozen seconds.
Do I need to know LaTeX to use this template?
No. You edit it like an ordinary document — type, drag blocks, insert formulas from a visual keyboard. LaTeX only runs underneath to set the page, and you can still export the source if you want it.
