Using and adapting it
An official letter is judged on its form before anyone reads it: leave the address block, the date and the signature area where the template puts them. Keep it short — one page covers almost everything, and it will actually be read to the end. If you are enclosing documents, list them at the bottom so the recipient can check them off.
Common questions
- Will it keep its layout when I send it?
- Yes, if you send the PDF. That is a layout already decided, independent of the recipient’s fonts or software.
- Do I need to know LaTeX to use this template?
- No. You edit it like an ordinary document — type, drag blocks, insert formulas from a visual keyboard. LaTeX only runs underneath to set the page, and you can still export the source if you want it.
